F14 grip hat switch not working

Hi,

after some years of great service the hat switch on my F14 grip is not working properly. I use it for trim but in many cases it dowsn't work. I have to switch (move) the weapon selector and it starts working again. Checked on the button tester and it confirmed the behaviour.

Any idea?
