VKBDevCfg- does deadzone affect custom curve?

Postby bubbavox » Fri Sep 20, 2024 23:48

I'm customizing curves and deadzones in VKBDevCfg, and just wanting to make sure it behaves as expected. If I have a 5% deadzone (DZ low), does it start my custom curve after the deadzone (at 5% input)? In visual terms, does the deadzone "scale" my custom curve to 95% scale, or does it "crop" the first 5% of the curve?

The deadzone is applied on the whole range of the axis, regardless of the deadzone.

Haha I still don't get it.

If i set a 10% DZ, does my joystick curve effectively work like pic A, or pic B? Some testing indicates that it works like B, which is what I would expect. Just wanted to make sure, because I'm having a hard time getting curves I'm happy with for Star Citizen.
