Red blinking Light on Gunfighter

Postby k1nsal » Mon Nov 07, 2022 21:24

So I get the red blinking light on my Gunfighter MK 3 edition. I also have Mk3 Space combat edition(left hand) it works fine on the base as FYI MK3 space edition premium(left hand) works fine haven't tried my MK3 ultimate edition I'm assuming it works just don't what to yard it out of the sim pit seems to me I have a connection issue with the Gunfighter M3 any help appreciated. These are brand new bases I bought to go with existing sticks I upgraded(MK3 to Ultimate MK3 Space to Premium)

My Gladiator had reguarly a red light when moving the stick at first, but it went away after I calibrated the thing with the VKB software.

Think it may be a bad stick went and took it to my other Pit ripped out the Ultimate and placed the MK3 MCG on it and still got the red light flip back to the ultimate and no issue check 3 pin connections. I'm guessing they have a bit of spring to them of the 3 the 2 have a bit of spring one doesn't would that be affecting it reading the joystick below is an image of the connecter the 2 pins on the bottom have some give to them vertically the single pin doesn't.

The first link from Gunfighter 2 pins move vertically the 3rd doesn't

Second Link from 110 Extention all 3 pins move vertically

All those 3 pins are spring activated; if the spring on one of the pins is stuck try to fix it with a bit of fine lubricant (WD40 would work), push it down a bit to dislodge it. If you manage to fix it, push the board back inside the connector all the way in and make sure the securing rubber cylinder on the side it keeps it all the way down. If you won't manage to fix it please fill up for a service ticket to get a replacement - don't use it like that as it might damage the contact pads on the base. Btw, check on those too - if there are deep gauges into them post pics on the service ticket so they would include those too.
About the flashing red light on the Black Box - that is normal to happen if there's no connection between the grip and the base. It's also normal to happen if you don't flash the Black Box when you swap grips, even if the connection is fine this time.

Thanks, Fallout I was unable to repair the part the spring mechanism seems to be worn I hit with WD 40 and a bit of AIR the spring just doesn't respond I did order the twist mechanism already to fix it. Not used to the excellent customer service from VKB. I'll update this twist comes in. I think the base is fine as I tested with another stick and it recognized it. For the flash, I'm guessing once it recognizes a stick is on the Base through the config app(external) that is when it will accept the flash of firmware?
