POVs Setup Help

I just received a pair of Gladiator NXT EVO and am in the process of setup, but I am stuck on one thing and cannot figure it out. I have searched through the User Guide but did not find the answer...

As I understand it, the 8-way mini-stick has two modes that I can press the POV button to switch between (red LED on or off). I am trying to set one mode to a virtual mouse pointer and the other mode to anything else (prefer 8-way but it is not essential). When I set the stick to virtual mouse the other mode does nothing; all I can do is turn the mouse on or off but I do not get any function from the other state. Red LED OFFI get mouse movement and red LED ON I get nothing.

Is there a way to have the virtual mouse on one mode and regular POV directions on the other mode?

The A1 ministick has 2 modes: POV and axes, swappable by pressing the center push button. If you want the virtual mouse, this will replace the POV mode, so you'll have mouse on default and axes when you press the center push button.
If you want buttons on the axes mode (so it'd be POV like), you could got to Axes2Button panel and set up axis #5 as Edges2, Num1, Hysterezis 3%, sent to button 41 (and automatically 42 for the other end of the axis) and axis #6 as Edges2, Num1, Hysterezis 3%, sent to button 43 (and automatically 44 for the other end of the axis). Press Set button under the Action tab to save the changes.
