Gladiator Mk2 MCG Pro Master mode switch

Postby El_Butch » Wed May 11, 2022 11:06

Hi guys,

I recently picked up a Gladiator Mk2, and have installed the upgrade kit and mounted my MCG pro grip. I've flashed it with the v2.090 firmware, and while it's mostly working well I'm not getting any response from the master mode switch (POV 1). I initially flashed it with an older firmware version that I had on my hard drive (_Gladiator_MCG_Pro_v2_00_7.vkb) before realising there was an updated one available. With the old firmware, it was recognising all of the buttons (including the offending POV 1) but none of the axis. I'm not particularly sharp with VKBdevcfg, so could be missing a step somewhere, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks very much.

You should use both firmware and software from the same generation. Best bet to get them to match is to use the latest official drivers from here.

Thanks, I've installed the lastest versions of all software from the link provided and re-flashed with the latest firmware. Unfortunately the problem remains, no input detected from POV 1.

Does the analog mode works?

No, it doesn’t show up in the list of axis’ from what I can see. The button press when I depress the hat registers though.

If you already pressed the Default button and that haven't fixed it please post screenshots with Global/Common, Profile/Axes/Logical and Physical Axes and Profile/POVs.

Too many axes in that combination, you'll need a second virtual controller. In Global/Common set VC to 1, then press Set button under Action tab. The Master Mode in analog mode should function under the second virtual controller because, again, there are too many axes on the first one.

Thanks very much, that worked. Is there a way to map the axis on the VC to the POV hat?

In Profile/Buttons/Physical layer check the Poll option on the right side, then click the center button of the ministick, then click mouse on the cell that's lighting up on the chard. Set that button as uSSw (uStick Switch), then press the Set button.
