Gladiator NXT Y-axis drift

Postby Sprool » Mon Apr 25, 2022 0:10

I'm getting the issue a few have reported here already - Y-axis drift on the NXT joystick usually after restarting pc or waking it next morning from sleep mode, the centre position is shifted and it wont reach the end of its calibration travel. Calibrating it again seems to fix it solid for a day but then when I restart it will have shifted again.
Is this incorrect initial setup or the loose magnet issue? NB: Stick is about 6 weeks old now and I think it's had this Y-axis drift from new.

Take a look, see if the magnet is loose.

yep - fixed it with a blob of superglue, magnet fell straight out of its collar when i took it apart - very loose before, now solid and no axis drift.
