Upgrade suggestion for Gunfighter twist axis conenctor

Postby cvilleraven » Sat Mar 05, 2022 15:43

After encountering this issue a few times myself, and having another friend who had the same problem: the pins connecting the twist axis used in the SCG grip may be slightly too short for the Gunfighter Mk. 3 base. Every so often, the grip loses contact with the base, and it results in unintended input. The immediate solution when this happens is to unscrew the grip retainer, press down on the grip, and re-tighten the retainer. I am not an engineer, but it seems to me that a slightly longer pin configuration (1mm, maybe even less) would help. The times I've encountered the problem, it didn't initially feel like the grip wasn't fully seated, and I can't tell how much of a gap there was (by definition of the problem, there had to have been one).

If the grip is losing contact with the base it might be because the fastener is not tightened properly.
