VKB Gunfighter stops responding and black box blinks red

Hi,

Ok so my joystick have started to act up from time to time. After some time in DCS it just stops responding and the black box starts blinking red.
I have the latest firmware. The USB port is ok... I just dont know what is happening. Is there some logfile i can share with you?

Are you sure the Black Box is connected to the base? Check that cable please.

It is, and the base have a green light on it.
I can fly for a while, but randomly it turns red

And why are there two bases listed when i only have one?

This is done for the owners of two databases - then they are automatically identified by their unique addresses. You need to look at the error level only in your database.

All i can see is 100% communication error... Is there a log file anywhere?

Try to flash with version 2_08.5, reset the settings to default and then calibrate.

Got it working there for a short while. I suspected that there was a conflict with VKB´s device and Logitech G13. While i got it working i had the G13 unplugged after the flashing.
Then i plugged in the G13 i remade a calibration and then it died again with a blinking red light...
Do you know if there is a conflict between the devices?



*edit* and one more suuuperstrage thing, it only acts up when im flying the KA-50 in DCS.... i highly doubt it has something to do with it...

Would like to know where the BB is connected (HUB, front, back, USB version)?
Try plugging in the BB in the back, there should be a pair of USB v.2.0 ports (black) at the top. And G13 into blue USB.

Its connected to an USB3.0 hub with power supplie. that USB-hub is then connected to an active USB 3.0 extension cable and then plugged into the computer.
The G13 that i suspect is connected the same way but in a USB 2.0 hub and a separate usb 2.0 extension cable.

I have tried all sorts of combination, right now im only running the black box directly to the extension cable, but no luck...

No other device is having any issues with this setup, even the VR works fine...
I have elaborated with only the joystick blugged in, but no luck...
But sometimes it works flawless, yesterday i flew for hours without signs of any issyes.
Today when i jumped in to the KA-51, the joystick stopped responding after 5 min

Do you need anything more? DX logs?

There is no need. You need to connect the BB directly to the v.2.0 port on the back or to a hub without an extension cable and check it works.

ok, got it running again with the BB directly to usb 2.0 extension. Will test some flying now, will report back

Hi it just wont run... And i have tried everything. Even if i connect it directly into the computers USB 2.0 port, same flashing red light after restarts and software flashing.
I even checked the cables inside the joystick and everything is fine there.
Is there some settings in the software i could change?

Is the green LED on the base on or off when the joystick stops working?
