P3Dv4/TP with two versions of controller software

I recently upgraded from FSX to P3Dv4 along with TacPack. Everything was working fine with the old setup. Now with the new setup, I am unable to have P3D and TacPack work properly.

My issues is that I have noticed that when calibrating the joystick and mapping in P3D that they use the same buttons. With TacPack Manager and FSUIPC6, the buttons are off by one. For example, with the VKB Gunfighter, button 4 in P3D is button 3 in TPM and FSUIPC. This is just with the VKB Gunfighter. What I noticed when looking at the device names, there are two. One is VKB-Sim Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro that is present in the USB controller and other is VKBsim Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro which is present in P3D. As dug deeper, looking at the P3D Controls->standard.xml file I noticed that they are both listed. How do I get P3D to look at just the VKB-Sim Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro profile? I have looked in the registry and can only find VKB-Sim Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro.

The only solution I can recommend - to map joystick buttons to keystrokes. Cliff of Dover shifts button numbers too. But gear control = G works regardless to button number)
