Hey team,
I have 2x Kosmosima grips. I noticed I get a very sore hand using one of the grips, and looking closer it takes excessive force to activate the rapid fire trigger.
Taking apart the grip we can see the rapid fire trigger is actually hitting and grinding against a PCB before it can connect with the button, and this is causing the need for excessive force to trigger the button. There's a picture below which shows the PCB grinding & wear. Video link here: https://streamable.com/qdghb2
I've only had it a few weeks and didn't even notice it was an issue until my second Kosmosima arrived, and the rapid fire trigger activated easily and I did not get a sore hand with that stick. Taking this working grip apart there is enough clearance between the PCB & Trigger so they never make any contact, therefore there is no need for force to activate the trigger.
What should I do to fix the broken trigger? Everything seems tight, but was it just put together incorrectly at the factory? I'm assuming I need to just take it apart & put it back together again and everything should fit correctly as per my other working grip, but I wanted to check here first in case there's specific things I can do rather than take the shotgun approach.
Thanks - any advice is appreciated - I won't use the rapid fire trigger in the meantime.

Hi Wolph, try to put them back together and don't tighten the external screws around that area too much, see how it goes.

Hey Wolph,
as you have mentioned in my post on the other side (http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4733&e=1&view=unread#unread, it looks similar, I also had noticed that traces of wear.
Have you checked if the lever which triggers the button is broken, as it was in my case? At the beginning, when my damage appeared, it was harder to trigger the button, in the end, it was impossible. The transition was quite quick, though.
The support that I got from vkb europ was excellent, got a new trigger lever quickly and I am running happily again.
I stand with my critique that this button is not protected well against excessive force - I have removed all weapons from it, because sometimes, during weapon recharge, I was pulling too hard I suppose... so no assignments to that trigger that need to work in panicky situations, I suggest.
Cheers,
M.

Hi Fallout,
I managed to find time to take apart this Kosmosima grip. To the credit of the designers, there seems to be very little room for error when putting the stick together - While impressive I couldn't find any issues with how it was assembled, but still there is not enough clearance between the switch & the PCB like in my original photos.
However, the switch has now broken in a similar way it did for Matthias, so I have contacted my dealer for a replacement switch (Ali express).
It will be interesting to see how the replacement goes, as above it seems like there isn't enough clearance for a switch that size.... at least in my Kosmosima

Any other help is appreciated! Otherwise I will update this thread when I hear back from Ali Express.

Most probably broken, please confirm by opening up the grip and if true fill up a service ticket in order to receive a replacement.

Sorry for not updating - I received two replacement triggers from the dealership. I'm still using the first replacement.
Case closed! (for me anyway)
