I had this set up on my joystick recently, but I updated my calibration recently and these buttons disappeared somehow. I had the flip up trigger to have button presses on the up and down position mapped as weapon safety switch in DCS, and now Ive lost these functions. How do I go about setting these up again? Im not too familiar with the software, and I cant find any VKB videos explaining how to do this...yet I managed to get it done before and cant remember how to to save my own life. Help appreciated!
FWIW, I have the MCE Ultimate w/ Mk3, no twist, and Im thinking I may have used the wrong firmware profile...ie _BlackBox_MK2_GF_MCG_Ultimate_v2_02_5

Re: MCE Pro question - Axis range buttons
The firmware you flashed is right. No press the Default button under Tools tab and calibrate following this guide (calibration only, you don't need to reflash). It's important to follow the steps especially if you want to use the foldable trigger, which is an axis and won't work properly if not calibrated.
After calibration go to Profile/Axes/Axes2Buttons and check the Enable MCG trigger box. Underneath, check the Safe and/or Armed boxes if you want the trigger to hold a button pressed on Safe or Armed positions. Check the Pulse box if you want that button only to flash once when the trigger reaches either position.
Fire1 and Fire2 will provide you 2 other buttons along the folding trigger range; the activation of these 2 buttons could get adjusted from the side sliders.
When done with the changes press the Set button to save.

Re: MCE Pro question - Axis range buttons
OK, thats weird...I had these buttons already selected in the Axes2Buttons menu, but the buttons arent being picked up on the buttons test page. They are the only ones too...the buttons I have mapped on teh brake axis work fine.

Re: MCE Pro question - Axis range buttons
which axis is the trigger? Only Axis X, Y and slider 2 are moving. I dont have the analog sticks installed, just the mechanical hats. Also, the push button for the trigger works, so the trigger itself seems intact.
Edit - looks like that worked.
