Question re: GNX & Mk.III SCG

Postby alitaki » Fri Apr 23, 2021 2:39

So I'm looking to get either the GNX Premium or the Mk.III SCG Premium. Am I correct in my assumption that they both are the same grip but have different bases?

Exactly the same grip, minus the connector (the tail, the part that connects it to the base).

Thanks!

Can the grip be installed on a different base if I want to upgrade further down the line?

If you want to upgrade to GFIII and use the same grip you would need a GFIII connector to replace the GNX connector; this is easily replaceable. But I think it would make more sense to sell the NXT and get the whole package GFIII plus SCG when time comes.

Why is that? is cheaper that way?

Cheaper and makes more sense - buying just a GF base and a connector and using the original grip to build a functional GFIII system would just render the original Gladiator base useless, good only as a button box.
