VKB Gladiator NXT standard version hat switch not recognized

Hello!

i am trying to setup a pair of Gladiator NXT Standard version, not the premium.

The hat switch that is in place of the mini stick on the premium version does not get recognized by the config software.
however it is showing in the image of the controllers the premium version stick? and in external devices it shows the SCG and SCG-L sticks..

im wondering if i set this up incorrectly? i followed documentation from the youtube channel, but maybe im supposed to do something different for the standard versions?

every other function on the sticks work perfectly, including pressing that hat switch button in. just not the directional presses?

software was downloaded yesterday, and i did the firmare upgrade for both sticks, and they are showing VKBsim Gladiator NXT R + L v2.025 respectively

The A1 HAT switch should act like normal buttons. You're saying there's no light coming up on Tester when pressing its 5 buttons?

correct, except for pushing it in. so 4 of the "buttons" dont work, but 1 does

Press Default button and try again (you'll have to re-calibrate after resetting to default).

just tried this, hit default and re calibrated after pressing default and no luck, still does not recognize the hat directions

Please open VKBDevCfg, navigate to Test/Buttons and take a video of what's happening on the screen when you push the A1 hat 5 buttons.

I have to apologize Fallout9, I have the video, but I'm not sure how I can post it on the forum.

I recorded the video as mp4 but when I try to attach it says invalid file type.

I looked in a few places but i am not sure how to proceed.

I registered here to find out the answer to this ive got the exact same problem. The pov hat does not register any directional presses it only recognizes the center push not up down left or right.

Do this please: press the Default button under Tools tab. Then click on the Test tab, then Buttons/POVs. While the head LED is off move the ministick around, you should see arrows moving around the red POV1 icon.

this does not work..matter of fact after i press default the center LED goes off but then turns back on solid blue moving the hat switch around does nothing. and there is a red icon for pov and the center button press registers (button 30) im uploading a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiZsR3s-I_c

another thing is i go to the profile tab under physical layer moving the stick around (with poll turned on) registers so i know it works i just dont know what im doing wrong.

Do you have the Standard or Premium version of the grip?
When you move around A1 ministick/hat what lights up on tester?

Standard stick, and when moving around the a1 only button 30 registers as shown in the video when i push it in. When i go to profile/buttons (physical layer) with Poll checked they all register when i push directions on the hat switch heres another video https://youtu.be/EJm6ZVsl4Q8

Go to Profile/POVs, set POV Type as Discrete, keep Output as POV and press Set button under Action tab.
