Hello,
I'm a recent owner (since last friday) of a GunFighter MkIII with an SCG Premium Left grip.
I have two questions about configuration for MSFS:
- I'd like to use the A1 mini joystick as elevator trim axis. But naturally when I release the stick, the trim comes back to 0. Is there a solution for the trim to stay in the given position even if the stick comes back to center ? (As far as I know, it's impossible in MSFS config).
- It would be great if the mini joystick was in A4 place. Is it possible to invert A1 and A4, physically or logically ? I dont care if the A1 still as a mini joystick or become a "normal" hat switch. If not possible between A1 and A4, is it between A1 and A3 ?
I'm sure I'll have others questions in the near future, as your config app is too complex for my goldfish brain. On this point do you have a simplified app for the dummies like me ?
But as I had a mechanical training when I was young, I greatly appreciate the mechanical knowledge of the joystick. Great job sirs !

Re: GFIII/SCG-L A1/A4 configuration
Hi there and congrats on you new joystick! The solution to your issue is to make the ministick axes relative instead of absolute. Open VKBDevCfg, navigate to Test tab, then Axes1 tab, activate your ministick axes mode by pressing on the center button (red light comes on), move the ministick around and remember the name of the axes that are moving on the screen (should be RotX and RotY). Now go to Profile tab, then Axes tab and set those 2 axes (RotX and RotY) as Rel (relative). Press the bog Set button under Action tab to save. Now the ministick would act as desired. Make sure you are properly calibrated before this step.
Unfortunately you can't swap the A1 ministick with the A3 or A4 hat switches; it could only get swapped with the extra hat switch that comes with the Premium package. But you could program A3 or A4 hat switches to trim in game, just bind them to digital (buttons) instead of analog (axes).

Re: GFIII/SCG-L A1/A4 configuration
Thanks for your quick answer, I've already set A4 as a trim in MSFS, but in some cases it's not fast enough. Trim on an axis like A1 is faster.
Never mind for inverting switches, I''ll do as is after appliing your solution of relative mode.
What I forgot to ask you (f...... goldfish memory !) is how to set a button that reset the trim axis to 0 ? (because it's ok to have a fast trim, but sometimes it's good to reset it more faster

Re: GFIII/SCG-L A1/A4 configuration
Easy:) While on the Profile/Buttons/Physical layer chart check the Poll box (1), then click on your joystick button you want to assign as axes reset. Click on the cell that's lightening up on the chart (2).
In the new window set that button as RelAxes (3), with Reset function assigned (4), applied to your ministick axes 3 and 4 (5).
Close this window and press Set to save the changes to the profile.
Cheers!

Thanks again,
I think I'll have to dig in the config software, it seems to be incredibly powerful.
Headache in perspective...

Both solutions works fine. Tested and approved !
Just have to adjust sensitivity a little bit and it will be 100% OK.
Great joystick, great software and great express support.
What else ? said George
