Gladiator MkII "Mode" works incorrectly

Good day!
1. Gladiator MkII
2. Connected to USB 2.0
3. Firmware version: v1.85B/ Windows 10-20H2-Build: 19042.685
I got a joystick in 2017, played 10 hours at most and put it in a box. Then the other day I decided to play again. Plug-run the latest program: "VKBDevCfg-C" and flashed to the latest version, due to the incorrect operation of the "Mode" function.
What exactly is wrong with her. When turned on, it changes buttons 14/15 to 16/17 and 18/19 to 20/21, but does not change from 3-11 to 22-30. There was no such problem before. The "mod" key itself works fine. the program displays "S1 (Alt 39)"
I tried to roll back to earlier firmware versions such as: (v1_81_7) (v1_80_8) (v1_80_1). The problem has not changed. I tried to forcibly assign the function of this button, it does not change. I tried to download the finished profile from the site: "GL_A7_B29_HAT1_Def".
Nothing helps. Please help. I tried to look for a similar problem on the Internet, I did not find anything like it. There, either the button does not physically work or is working properly.

You need to update the firmware on your device; use this video as model. Flash the file named _Gladiator_KG12_v2_00_7.vkb.

All of the above made. Now it has been added that the "Rot X" axis(Although I brought the axis to the stop, everything was normal on firmware 1.85.) does not reach the end and the buttons on the front panel still do not change when the "Mode" mode is turned on. The fire buttons are also okay (they toggle and work).

Press the Default button and recalibrate all axes: pitch, roll, twist, mini-throttle.

Resetting to default helped. The head did not work at night. But what to do with the front panel? It is fully functional but does not work in the mode of additional 9 buttons. In green and red mode, they work as 3-11. And should work in red 3-11, and in green 22-30.

This is how it should be in the "Mode" modes. But I have that in red mode, that in green front panel uses from 3-11 (does not change to 22-30). The buttons on the handle change, everything is ok.

Note that when I bought it, this mode worked fine.

By default, the Mode button doesn't act like you think it should. It affects only the buttons on the grip and not the buttons on the base.
The buttons on the grip have 4 sets of assignments:
1. Mode button Red;
2. Mode button Green;
3. Mode button Red and pinkie button pressed;
4. Mode button Green and pinkie button pressed.

1. Forgive my seemingly bad memory. This device has 29 buttons. It turns out with the modes "mode" and "shift" 21. Even if you add the buttons "mod" and "shift" it turns out 23. Where did the rest go?
2. 17 programmable buttons. Tried not being remembered through the "VKBDevCfg-C" program.
Or is it for memorizing on the keyboard?
3. Why is the "shift" button not displayed in the profile, but the "mode" button has an indication of 30? When should the idea end in 22?
I apologize if I am too intrusive. I want to understand from A to Z. It seems to me that the front panel used to meet the mod mode. And if not, where did the 8 buttons go? =)

Alright, open VKBDevCfg and go to Test/Buttons. Press on the base buttons, you'll get buttons 1 to 13 plus Mode button, which is 30. Now press the grip buttons: you'll get button 14 for trigger, POV 1 for hat switch and 18 for top button. Press and hold pinkie button on the grip: trigger becomes button 15, top button becomes 19 and the hat switch buttons 22 to 25.
Now press the mode button for the green mode: base buttons all remains the same, but grip buttons become 16 (trigger) and 20 (top button). While still in green mode press and hold the pinkie button: trigger is now button 17, top button is 21 and the hat switch is buttons 26 to 29.

Makes sense now?



In any case, this is only the default profile; you could adjust and change it in any way you'd like. I'm attaching a set of profiles I've made a while ago, load them up and see how they work for you; you could also use them as templates to create your own personalized profile.

Now I completely figured out where the remaining 8 buttons were hidden in the cross and shift mode.
