It's acting like that because the grip is not properly seated on the base, so please check this video for clarification.
The idea is to gently press on the grip while tightening the locking screw.

I reseated the grip while pressing down as firmly as I could. It seems to be properly seated. The grip moves left and right smoothly. My black box has a blue light on, and the red light is still flashing. Is it possible I loaded the wrong firmware? The list to browse through had so many options, I was a bit confused. I didn't see the word "twist" in any of the firmware selections. Can I reflash the firmware? If so, exactly what am I looking for in the firmware description? This is driving me nuts. Just follow the flashing and calibration guide for Kosmosima and make sure you're flashing this file: _BlackBox_MK2_GF_SCG_v2_00_7.vkb.
