Yaw not centering fully

I'm looking for some suggestion on a minor issue I'm having.

The twist axis never centres fully. Let me explain. If I fully twist left or right and then release it will centre from both sides just fine. But I find that if I'm dong fine movements it never springs back to the centre fully after I've done a slight twist right. I actively have to push it back to centre. This is really annoying when I'm playing elite and supercruising to planets as I have to be careful I don't constantly drift to right of destination.

Is something catching? Have other people experienced this? Can this be corrected with a calibrated deadzone?

Should've mentioned what grip you have. In case you have a Kosmosima then release the tension in the locking mechanism screw. If you tighten that screw too much it might affect twisting.

It is indeed Kosmosima with Gunfighter 3. I haven't touched the locking mechanism (dry clutch?) since receiving it.

I have pulled the dust cover right down and the resistance has gone. Not sure I can do anything about that though?

Well, the dust cover is not supposed to touch the grip; obviously it'll put up some resistance.
Your reply shows that you haven't even watched the link I posted. I'm not sure what you're looking for.

I have now been able to watch the video and that isn't the issue. Loosening and tightening doesn't change my issue. Here is a pic. As you can see the dust cover butts right up against the underside of the stick.

Yes, that is the Issue there: Rubber against Plastic - this won't slide smoothly.

Maybe lifting up Grip just a little? The Contacts are Push-Pins - so there is maybe some Space left until Connection interrupts.
Even though, that is not a really nice Solution.

Push the dust cover down the metal stem until it passes the fat part. You could have the dust cover bracing the fat part or underneath, with the lips facing up or down.

This is not good advice, sorry. Even if the contact pins are on springs, the grips has to sit tightly on the base.

I was sure what you meant at first, but I've fiddled around and got it sorted. Seems the 'inner lip' was not pushed down far enough - probably happened when I was changing the cams. Thanks for your help.

If you just push the inner lip down to the bottom, the dust cover will limit the travel of Y axis. Try to flip the lip upward like the second picture.
