I just got through Ron61's tutorial and want to confirm that it works, both MCG Pro and KG12 grip are recognized individually when swapped.

Not sure if you already tried to boot up in safe mode with nothing else (like motherboard, mouse, other devices software utilities) running and do the process again.

And also please stop using Windows' joystick stuff, it's really bad.

I don't know what to say...probably you saw my video...i can do another with the ron suggested procedure if you feel it is needed.
I don't use windows' joystick stuff, it was only for showing the device name and the buttons.

I don't think safe boot will solve anything, otherwise i would have the same issue with the F14 or MCG Pro grips. As you can see in the video those two grips are recognized immediately and both works as intended.
I can try anyway.
But just to let me understand could one of you give me your k12 profile with NG firmware?
Maybe i will discover something strange there....what kills me is that the gladiator stick is there by default and not the KG12...you don't change nothing there?Do you have Gladiator in the profile (number 3) and with KG12 it works?

To be more clear
You can see that if i select the KG12 from the drop down (in global - external) ...it becomes green (in test - external) but the profile 3 is not loaded and the device is still "recognized" as Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro (and i have "err-state active")

But by default when i load the firmware i have the gladiator grip here and not kg12

Update - playing with changing from Gladiator stick to KG12 and back, Setting and Restarting brought me to the same situation - KG12 grip installed, but recognized as Modern Combat. Trying to set up the Gladiator/KG12 stick, after pressing Set the software takes double time to restart and gets back to Modern Combat. Software issue could be an explanation, not unexpected considering is in beta.
I suggest to wait for Ron's input.

This is what was causing me to became crazy :)
Anyway i never mentioned, but also for me it took a lot of time to show up with the KG-12 grip
My first thought was...well it is a beta (observing that with original old-gen firmware the grip is working)....but if it works on yours side then it must work also for me.
Now that you found my same issue I am happy...because maybe you could contact the developers and ask if they already knows of this issue...and maybe if not find also a solution

Do you have only the KG12 stick?
Otherwise you could also try the new NG multidevice firmware....
Maybe it will work for you

I also have the Gunfighter Pro .. i have tried to read about NG firmware, is this compatible with my orange blackbox?
What versions should i use, configurator, bootloader and firmware?

Zappovitz wrote:Hi.

I have the mkII with GFpro and that works fine, I can flash it and load cfg file.

I have just received the KG12 and I can not get any response from the buttons.

I unplugged the usb from box
I switched the grips
I plugged in the USB
I flashed the firmware with "_BlackBox_GF_KG_v1_98_F.vkb"

but i don't get any response from KG12.

When i check external device it seems to be communication error!

Have you tried to change from Gladiator stick to KG12 in Global/External/External devices and pressing Set afterwards?
How about the latest regular beta KG12 firmware? https://mega.nz/folder/gx0mFQIR#ci756YS ... e/ooshGYiA

Configurator usually doesn't hangs if something goes wrong with the stick. Maybe you got some background utility interfering? Tried a clean boot?

Clean boot was a very bad idea ... now nothing seems to work in windows ... great

But i did manage to upload firmware, default, calibrate, choose KG12, set .... still the same.

I don't feel that we are getting closer to a solution .. so I suggest the next step to be that someone from the support team goes online with TeamViewer at try, I might be missing some steps that you assume is obvious.
