Hey guys,
I just wired my rudder to the black box via auxillary cable. My joystick (gunfighter with the mcg pro w/twist) is already connected to it. How do I install this? VKBDevCfg does not see the axis. Do I need to do a new calibration?

You already have 8 axes on the MCG Pro, can't add more in other way than disabling others (like the ministicks or twist or brake lever).
See this excellent description of the way the axes are programmed on the MCG Pro grip: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3966#p38151

Thank you.
Yes - I can disable the twist rudder.
Follow up question: Now that I have the rudder, should I physically remove the twist module from the twist? Is there any harm in leaving it? Would it make things more accurate if I take it out?

You really don't have to take it out, just lock it with the screw provided. Then flash the firmware for MCG Pro grip (the one without twist) and recalibrate your device, including the rudders this time.
Re: Add VKB rudder to existing gunfighter base
Sorry, but this thread is a bit complicated. I don't have a computer science degree. All I want is to disable the twist in my stick and add the rudder then. Please see attached:
Based on the photo, would you agree that Axis 7 is my twist axis? and based on my understanding, I need to disable this. How?

And by choosing NONE under Axis #7, do I now have it disabled?

Okay, could you or someone walk me through the rest of the steps?

No worries, I'll explain: easiest way is to reflash the device to the no twist version, the one highlighted in the attached picture.
So flash that firmware, reset to default (important), calibrate all the axes: hit Start Calibr. and go whole range on pitch, roll, rudders, Gate cont, Master Mode (hold the top of the hat pressed 2 seconds to get into axes mode), brake. When done press the End Calibr. button and from there you're where you wanted.
