CAD/STL file for the palm rest fo the SCG possible?

Postby Roger01 » Sun May 17, 2020 1:31

Hi,

Is it possible to have the cad, stl or other file of the palm rest for the SCG?
I would like to make a 3Dprint of a more larger version, because my hand slides and falls on the side :?
Thanks!

Before trying to print a new hand rest I'd suggest to reconsider your hand position on the stick: the hand rest should be more like a guide and not support; the stability comes from a good contact of the palm on the grip.
Maybe the need of a larger hand rest comes from the wrong position of the joystick, like when it's sitting on a high desk or user sits on a low chair and the joystick is in front of his chest. Good position of the joystick is when the elbow is aligned with the joystick or higher than it. If the elbow is under the joystick user is losing precision, arm gets tired, palm is pressing on the twist, tends to pull back instead of relaxing.

Hello,

Thank you for the information on the posture of the arms and other.
I'm looking for buying an other chair (20+ years old!). I can't raise my chair too high because of the armrests and my desk and my wrist is "broken". (I can't cut the armrests :s )
Actually, my hand make a little pression on the palm rest and I need to "grip" hardly the joystick to avoid a fall of my hand.
If I have a larger palm rest, I think I could release the joystick more.
