Issues with new MCG Pro w/ Twist Adapter

Postby LordSkeletor » Sat Feb 29, 2020 5:35

Just received my MCG Pro MKIII Modern Combat Edition joystick.
I really like it. However, the instructions are very, very bad.

I'm running into a very basic issue that is not covered in the very skimpy instruction page or on your Youtube channel.
It involves attaching the stick to the base and the mechanism that appears to attach the stick to the base is a washered screw with two metal cylinder spacers
that is installed horizontally across the base of the joystick, just under the rubber dustcover at the base of the joystick.

No matter how I turn or rotate the cylinder or screw, it rotates just fine to the left, but is sticky and "catches" when trying to rotate the stick to the right. When you
let go of the twisted stick, it 'catches' or makes a minor grating noise.

Can you guys address this in a video or something? Mounting the stick to the base which has the rotate option is pretty important. Especially how to adjust the offset of the joystick
and set it to the correct angle.

Thanks!

If the stick is grinding when you twist it then it means you haven't locked it properly. You'll have to mount the stick on the base, insert on the right side the metal cylinder with the groove and the other cylinder on the left side. Insert the screw on the right side and screw it in. Make sure the cutouts of the cylinders (photo 1) are bracing the metal shaft of the base (like in photo 2) so at the end both cylinders are fully inserted inside the grip base.

I loosened/tightened it up a few times and I think it rotated back into place. Thanks!
