I want to use both the Axes and POV buttons on the Master Mode hat in a game(DCS). The game allows me to select the POV buttons, and I can also assign the Axes in the game to the TDC (Target Cursor to select targets on the MFD). So this should work as I want.
I changed the Profile/Axes; Logical Axes; 3 & 4; mode from 'Rel' to 'Abs'. I want it to auto-center, and so the only way to do this is to set the mode to Abs?? This causes a bug. The 3 & 4 Axes DOES NOT DISABLE when in POV mode, it still moves! See the problem in this video...
When the mode is set to the default 'Rel', the axes ARE disabled when the hat is in POV mode. But when I change the mode to 'Abs' the axes ARE NOT disabled when the hat is in POV mode! (They should be disabled in Abs mode also?) So, when I am in POV mode, my TDC (Target Cursor) moves. It should not move if I am in POV mode.
Is there a setting that I can change to fix this? To disable the 3 & 4 Axis when I am in POV mode?

How does the hat work after a default? Try defaulting the stick, do a recal and see if it works as it should without an edited profile. That might tend to rule out a defect. Might be some setting you've messed with. The software isn't the easiest to deal with! FWIW mine is switching back and forth as it should.

It works correctly from Default.
When everything is default, and the mode is 'Rel', the Axes are disabled in POV mode. Try it yourself?
Axes disabled in POV mode if mode is Rel.
Axes NOT disabled in POV mode if mode is Abs.
I think it's a bug.

Sorry to jack you thread, but I am having exactly the same issue. I am trying to use master mode for TDC in DCS AV8B, and the slew function of the TDC is uncontrollable. Also same issue trying to use gate for trim.

Exactly same issue?
Did you set the Axes to Abs mode? If not, please start another thread..
PS: The DCS AV-8B Horizontal/Verticle Axis for the TDC is bugged in the game. It is jumpy and sticks. It's porked and you cannot use the 'axis' as your TDC for now...

Andy at least some of your problem may be with your version of devconfig. Without having it I don't know how high a firmware it works with but I see your firmware is latest on the download page but the version of devconfig is several versions behind. Update that. It's on the vkb software page.

Hehe well that would do it too! No good if the game can't make use of it!

Re: Master Mode Hat - Axes not disabled when I am in POV mode. Axes moves!
I have latest version of devconfig now v0.87.05, still see axis and POV move together, but no need to answer my post, I will just sit back watch, and see how this resolves. It will effect me when TDC axis is fixed on AV8B. For now I will try and set up master mode switch as buttons.

I appreciate your readiness to get everything solved by yourself. Hope it doesn't take too long! - and keep us updated on the progress.

Awesome!! It looks like it's fixed!! When I reset to default and then set Axes 3&4 to Abs the axes do not move when in POV mode!! YEA!! THANK YOU!!
I also loaded my older profile with several other changes and it still works. But I assume I should start from Default again and make those changes so my saved profile is for this Firmware? Just to make sure no conflicts.
That was QUICK!!!
