MCG Buttons, Lever, HATs not detected/working (Solved)
Received my VKB MCG today, am unable to get buttons working. Blackbox has a blinking red light next to stick. It seems like VKBConfig thinks I'm still using KG12 grip? Anybody have similar experience?

Re: MCG Buttons not detected/working
I jsut received my MCG and have the same problem it's not being decected with the blinking red light. If I remove it and place my Warthog grip back on everything is good
Re: MCG Buttons not detected/working
I'm also having this issue. With the new firmware, the KG12 stick still works fine but the MCG Pro causes the blinking red light and none of the buttons work. When looking at it in VKBDev, the External Devices tab specifically, it still seems to think the KG12 stick is still there.

Progress!
So in the External tab, there's a drop down where you can select MCG and then if you click the SET button up top it'll seem to make the change stick. So my buttons and hats are working, but the extra axes aren't loading.
EDIT:
Page two of this thread will tell you how to fix this

Re: MCG Buttons not detected/working
Got the Hats / Lever to work for me:
1) Download Wizzo GF - http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Programms/wizzo_gf_0_98.zip
2) Click "Advanced Settings" red button on bottom left
3) In popup, select "Default"
-- Selecting Default restarted the Wizzo tool for me, and the analog hats / lever started being detected both in Wizzo GF and in VKBConfig.
After setting "default," hats / lever and button 7 (black button on left side of the stick) all started being detected for me. Not sure if there is a way to do it in VKBConfig, but since this worked for me I stopped looking.

How did you get the hat and brake lever working in VKBDev?
I've spent more time than I'd care to admit doing trial and error but I'm still struggling to get them working properly.
Running the rev. A gunfighter with the MCG pro on the V1_91_7 firmware.
So far, I've managed to get the hats to input something by assigning them an axis number and setting them to virtual, then manually assigning labels that don't really seem meant for those functions but the maximum values are low and everything is out of order.
If anyone has a fully configured profile file that has the hats and lever working, I'd be much obliged!

I haven't yet eaten into your problem but the very first thing I'd ask you to do is to check our Announcements section and grab a new FW and update it asap.
Chances are (slim but still) that your problem goes.
If not, reply to this post of mine with quotation (I will see it sooner then), and I'll be back on your case.

The DEFAULT command ended up solving my problem and I've since updated the firmware successfully.
Thank you for the help.

Re: MCG Buttons, Lever, HATs not detected/working (Solved)
Hello, sorry for exhuming this old thread but I'm experiencing the same issue. However, neither using the "Default" button or flashing to the newest firmware solves it.
I was configuring a virtually new Gunfighter with MCG Pro, not upgrading from any previous setup (the unit had been waiting on a shelf for some time until the rest of my computer was assembled). Strangely, at first everything was frecognized correctly, the issue arised at some point during the first calibration. I flashed it repeatedly to _BB_MK2_GF_MCG_Pro_v2_09_0.vkb firmware, I tried also the 2_10_8 version.
For now, only the axes of the base are detected and I am getting the 100% Errol level statistic in the External Devices tab.
Thanks

Stick to the latest version of firmware, but release the grip, then press gently on it while tightening the fastener for better contact.
