Any modifications available for Defender cobra M5

Hi i just got one of this beast i know its from first revision 1.11v but are ther anything that i can do to upgrade it. I don't tell that its bad its perfect for me but maybe its possible to change this plastic gimbal for metal one and maybe changing some electronic parts ???. Sorry for my bad english . I hope that some one can help me. And why ther is no left hand version So many players from SC and ED are using now 2 joy to play
