Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
As a fellow SC Player I'm not sure it'd detect it. I use a similar control for ground vehicles and right now it's 50/50 forward/back. If it reads the detent as the 'halfway' then it MIGHT work. I tend to have AB set to a button and separate axis bound to the Relative o I can increase the top on the fly.

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
From my understanding, it won't be released 'by the end of the lunar year', so we likely won't see it until Feb 2022.
Which I'm fine with - it looks amazing, we have more details on it, and they're clearly working hard during difficult times to bring this product to us.
Still, don't quote me on this, I might have misread or misinterpreted the wording. If its released earlier, I'll be thrilled!

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
When that was written, it was near the end of the 2020 Lunar year, which led me (and I think others) to assume it was speaking of Feb 2021, and that release was basically imminent. Due to the update on the main page regarding shipping delays, and requesting 10 days to catch up with back orders; I think the soonest we can reasonably hope to hear something, would be in the first half of March. However, that is merely interpretation, and conjecture. I know just as little as everyone else. I will say I can wait a month or so, but not 12. VKB will be missing opportunities provided by Elite Dangerous new expansion, and I would be surprised if Star Citizen, MS Flight 2020, SW Squadrons, or any of the new AAA titles coming out to help drive sales.
Also, lets be completely transparent and frank. Right now, Logitech x56, X52, and Thrustmaster anything are commanding insane prices in the US. Releasing a $200 basic throttle, along with a $400 advanced throttle into the market right now WILL SELL and help to expand market share. That's an opportunity that may not last into next year. So, here I sit, impatiently awaiting the opportunity to spend a dozen hours worth of overtime!

This was written before the start of the new lunar year on Feb 12th. The message implies that they would not release before then and obviously haven't yet.
As mentioned in the original post, they've already enter production and it doesn't take a full year for that to come to consumers. I suspect we'll see more information and possibly even an initial release (maybe the non-detent version) in the next couple months or so.
Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
Hoping for a release within the next month or so, I'm currently in the process of replacing my twcs but I'm not looking forward to waiting another quarter or so for a release. Might just have to go with another pick as I'm not a huge fan of the handlebar guard on the left side that I saw but I'm holding off until a final version is being shown/released for now.

Good points, completely forgot about GA as well. Here's hoping we do in fact get a right hand throttle

Makes a lot of sense, and I really hope that's the case. Guess we'll find out soon. Finger's crossed my timeline is off the mark

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
Is there any rough estimate of when we can expect a release? I'm more then happy to wait for a month or one and a half for the TECS to release. But I'm currently in the process of upgrading my hardware(Already bought the gladiator NXT) but a throttle is lacking behind a little. I wasn't planning to hold off for another 3-6 months on pulling the trigger on a throttle so to say.
Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
haha yeah I'm sure there's a lot of us, I'd ideally like to have the VKB throttle since my stick will be a VKB as well. But seeing that other though a bit more expensive options are available within a month of ordering today.. it's hard to convince myself to not just go for them haha. Let's just hope it comes out soon!
Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
I don't think it's fair to state competitor hardware on VKB's own forum, but within the projected price range of this module it's pretty much standing on it's own. But there are of course some options that you'll easily find with a bit of searching around on the web!
