Omni Throttle switch axis.

Hi all, have had my gladiator NXT for a while, and finally decided to take the plunge and ordered the omni throttle (left) to go with it, primarily for Elite Dangerous.

It arrived yesterday, and I followed this excellent guide to get it working, and it was perfect….

So, I did what everyone does when things are working fine, and should be left alone….i meddled and updated the firmware to the latest version.

Followed the guide to set up again, and I just cannot get it to work again

When I press my allocated switch it obvs switches to something, as axis 2 zeros out and stops responding, but nothing else happens. In the test screen no movement on the “slider” axis.

Is there something I’m missing, and/or is there a way to downgrade to a slightly older firmware for the Gladiator NXT Evo omni throttle (left premium)?

The procedure should be similar, no matter the firmware. I suggest to reset to default, recalibrate and try again.
