Strange Behavior with Gladiator NXT EVO SCG PoV

I'm observing some strange behavior with my new Gladiator NXT EVO SCG when I use the PoV #1 hat switch. When I push PoV #1 up and then deviate the Y-axis to any degree the PoV shifts to down.

This is reproducible 100% of the time in VKB Device Config test mode, and does not occur with any other direction on PoV #1.

I'm wondering if I somehow mucked up a setting even though I don't recall changing anything, or if I could potentially have a defective unit.
