Where is firmware available for the new KG12?

Postby streakeagle » Wed Apr 13, 2022 0:03

I just received the new version of the KG12 grip. I have the original orange "black box" using a gunfighter Mk2 that has the full Mk3 upgrade kit installed. I went to the VKB America website and downloaded the latest firmware and software. The only firmware I see for the KG12 works with my old KG12, but now the new one. I don't see any other sources for newer firmware and software. Where do I go to get the new grip working?

Right here, below. (sorry for not being published yet, still testing the new firmware set).

Thank you. This firmware did the trick.
It took me a few tries, but I finally figured out how to configure the 4-way hat as POV 1.
What gave me trouble is that the logical button layer uses 4 for left, 5 for up, 6, for right, and 7 for down as seen in the button test.
But the POV is configured using physical layer buttons, which are very different in this case.
Button 4 was the same in both layers, but logical button 5 was physical button 3, logical button 6 was physical button 1, and logical button 7 was physical button 2.
My original failed configuration attempt of 4, 5, 6, 7 for left, up, right, down, had to be changed to 4, 3, 1, 2 for the POV to work correctly.
The bonus problem is having to go to the global settings to make the number of POV hats available = 1 since the default is 0.
