VKB device config NOT RESPONDING

Postby jonvaldeeeezy » Thu May 13, 2021 2:18

Just received my mcg ultimate mk3 w/ twist. followed this youtube guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCajFZ9 ... nel=VKBSim . when opening the device config application, it opens then freezes immediately. my device isnt even shown in the blue box. i have restarted after download; killed background programs such as aorus, aorus engine, corsair engine, discord, steam, wallpaper engine. I am running windows 10 home version 10.0.19042 Build 19042 ; x64-based pc.

as i am writing this post, i let the not responding application run; the app now recognizes my stick as VKBsim Gunfighter MCG Ultimate Twist v2.025 Mk2 : HID-compliant game controller . the icon is of an xbox 360 controller. when i click on the tools tab, it goes back to not responding then will go to tab after a minute. same thing happens when i click on bootloader. when bootloader launches, device config closed. bootloader show boot device detected ok w/ a green light. i choose the blackbox mk2 gf mcg ultimate twist v2_02_5.vkg file the click flash it. the text shows: device is ready programming... erase... erase done... programming... done... blocks: 260 I 5,7 sec. reset device... error write data: 0 . then the bar gets stuck at 100%. ive currently waited 3 minutes, then tried to close bootloader by clicking on the x on top right. i get an error that says Unable to write to zconfig.ini.

this is my first experience with setting up flight sticks and the software for this product is rather frustrating. any help is appreciated. thank you

Shouldn't have reflashed a new device as it's already coming with latest firmware. But if you got there, then try to restart your computer in Safe mode and work from there with reflashing and calibrating. Don't forget to reset to default between flashing and calibrating, exactly like in the guide; btw - you should follow this guide, as it's more closer to MCGU grip.
Another thing to try before jumping into Safe Mode would be to set Windows Admin privileges to native software and bootloader.
