Broken wire ribbon on Gladiator NXT

Broken wire ribbon on Gladiator NXT
On the tricolor ribbon leading out of my Gladiator NXT grip, two of the three wires (yellow and red) have broken. The insulation shows wear marks from where (I think) the wires were grinding up against something in the base. Can I order a replacement ribbon? Alternatively, are there approved suggested repairs I could make (soldering, shrink-tubing, etc.)?

Re: Broken wire ribbon on Gladiator NXT
If you're handy you could just replace those 2 wires by yourself - take the pins out of the connectors, desolder them and solder back on the new wire. Or you could fill up a service ticket.
Re: Broken wire ribbon on Gladiator NXT
Same thing happened to me in addition to the three hex screws backing out of the base (and the handle disconnectibg frim the base).
I just wrapped the yellow wire, lightly soldered it, and then wrapoed the ribbon cable with a touch of electrical tape. Used some loctite on the screws and works like new but not too optimistic on the long term viability of the hotas. Ive only had it about four months.

Same thing happened to the red wire on my Gunfighter Mk III Pro, I soldered it back together and wrapped electrical tape around the joint.
I sent support an email last week inquiring if I could purchase a couple of wire harnesses to have as spares just in case, however never got any response.

Send mail to sales_en@vkb-sim.pro, that's special order. Expect shipping to be steep though for such low value items.

In regards to this ribbon, and I would like to stress this is only what happened to me and in no way suggest that this is what happened to you, so back to story---- I found the same thing with
this ribbon and it was the red wire that looked worn however in closer inspection I saw a little bit of red color on the bottom of the joystick near the three holes used for attaching it to the base. It appears I somehow got the wire pinched between the stick and the base attachment. When I had regreased the stick a while back I do remember the protective tube sleeve sliding down away from the top a bit as I installed the stick however did not think much about it. Well, evidently if you don't have this tube sleeve all the way up against the area where the three installation holes are, you stand a chance that one or more of these wires could get pinched between the base and the stick. So, for me ,I have learned to make sure the wires when installing are completley inside the tube during installation and removal and insure this tube is all the way against those three hole mounting area. Also, make sure the wires when installing are softly twisted back as shown in the video of how to regrease this stick, this will help keep the wires from seperating and possibly getting pinched. I have thought of possibly adding some heat shrink tubing permanently to this upper wiring area, but as long as you are careful this surely can be prevented----- lesson learned !!!
Cheers !!!
