Mapping Keyboard key to B1 button

I am trying to bind the B1 buttons on my SCG left and right to the keyboard to use as push to talk keys.

I have followed the steps in the programming video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEJk0yytoXw, however, after setting the keys they stop working after being mapped to keyboard buttons. They don't register as being pressed in the Test tab, button tester or if I open notepad and press the button.

First step, activating the keyboard, is fine. Second... not sure how you got to button 48 (?).
Do this instead: navigate to Profile/Button/Physical layer and check the Poll box on the right side of the chart.
Now click on your B1 button on the joystick and remember the cell that's lighting up on the cart (it's cell #16).
Click mouse on that cell (photo,1).
In the new window click on the logical representation of the button (photo,2), set it as Keyboard (photo,3), set the desired key (photo,4), close that window and press Set (photo,5) to save.
