Why the space in device name?

Postby resotek » Fri Jul 17, 2020 16:22

I play DCS a lot but I'm having a real annoying issue with my Gunfighter III. The device is identified with a leading *SPACE* before the name? I don't have this issue with any other joystick. Since DCS uses this to generate it's config file name they come out looking like the following example:

" VKBSim Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro {8E106380-A5AF-11ea-8001-44455354XXXX}.diff.lua"

Having this leading *SPACE* means that when I copy the files using explorer (between release and openbeta) the leading space is automatically removed, so the files don't work. Can I changes this name or can it at least be fixed with a firmware update?

Thanks!

Everybody's like that. I don't see any problem. When copying to TotalCommander, the leading space is also copied.

I also ahve an issue with that, noticeably because i can't backup my profiles / bindings onto any azure / MS cloud, as leading spaces are a nono for their (and several other filesystems).
Would be nice to have no leading space.
