Hello.
I had a gladiator first version (cobra V6 for canada)
Was very happy with the feeling, but was not happy with the dead zone on the y axis.
Also I had to grind a little the gimbals parts to remove an excessive frictions on the x axis...
I love the kg12 so I was looking for the gunfighter, but I don't see a twist adaptator for it.
So I am thinking about giving a new chance to the gladiator, because of the twist and the buttons base.
But a gladiator from vkb this time...
I have read that the y dead zone isue was solved on the MK2, is that true?
Thank you
Gladiator MK2

Re: Gladiator MK2
Sorry for the bad news, but your product (if it's this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Flight-Simulation ... B07BNPWJMC) it is not a VKB product. Looks the same, but the electronics are completely different. All those Cobras, Airow, Javelin are made by third parties and not controlled by VKB.
I've been using the VKB Gladiator MKII for almost a year and never had issues with its deadzones; I actually haven't had issues at all with it.

Yes. I know.
At that time the vkb was not disponible in Canada.
I think that there is a quality diff between cobra and vkb.
And founding a working driver was very difficult.
Actually, the dead zone was a mechanical dead zone because of the tolerance (gap) between the plastic cam and his guide.it s a big problems to make fast small corrections on the pitch axis.
I see that on the mk2 the cam is now metal part to solve this particular problems.
If you telle me that it s solved, so I should give him a new chance
Or, is there a chance to have a twist on the kg12 for the gunfighter?

A last question, I see there is an upgrade kit for the kosmosima, with new springs.
Does it mean that we can use the mk2 with stronger springs?

Re: Gladiator MK2
I'm not aware of any twist being developed for the KG12 grip. Also, the Gladiator's cams are still plastic; there's an upgrade for it so you could install other grips like Kosmosima or MCG/MCG Pro (this one not officially advised though), but that changes only the shaft connecting the base with the grip and not the cams system. The GunFighter bases are all metal with changeable cams and springs.
Again, I haven't personally encountered or heard about people having problems with the deadzone on the Gladiator or not being able to make small corrections - the joystick is precise and reliable. Or maybe you're referring to the detent, that gap that you encounter when crossing the axes with the grip? That wasn't a big problem for me as the springs are soft and won't need significant breakout force to overcome that gap. I played with the Gladiator a lot of Star Citizen, which requires a lot of pixel hunting, and haven't found the detents too hard to overcome.

Re: Gladiator MK2
Yes it s this gap.
On the first version (black plastic cam) this gap was big.
Just like to know if this gap was reduced, and by how many percentage.
