You found one of the reason behind this. The other factor one was the USB cable I used to troubleshoot.
Yes, apparently I accidentally changed the subaddress from one of the units during a reset, and I couldn't resolve it with the software. The first bug happened here.
But when I took the GNX units from my mounts to troubleshoot, I left the original USB to the mount since it was cable managed there.
During the toubleshooting I used a second USB A to C cable, and even third one to rule out USB cable issues. But it seems that both of these replacement cables weren't up to the task. I quess that the USB cables need to deliver enough power?

As you suggested, I moved the subaddress pins to "1" position. After this, there was CRC error "Read data error". I troublehshooted this, and using the original USB cable I managed to program correct subaddresses to each unit using the buttons.
