Installing revision c upgrade kit into mcgu with twist

I am trying to install the revision c grip conversion kit into my mcgu with twist but cannot connect the wire as it uses a 4 pin connector and the grip has a three pin connector attached to the board. A three pin connector was provided but no instructions exist for how to use it and the install video does not highlight this.

A sensor board was also provided does that need to be changed or is it provided to allow someone to switch to a twist grip?

The spring does not contain a grounding pole like the old one does that matter.

There are little plastic fingers on the white shell, holding the metal contacts in place. You can lift those fingers up with a pointy tool and pull out the wire, then insert the wire into the three-pin housing. The contact has a little barb on it that needs to be on the same side as the fingers.

The wire order in the 3-pin socket is the same as in the 4-pin, except the white wire is left out. It instead gets pinned under the grounding screw where the long spring leg was.
