UPS lost package

I ordered a gunfighter and gladiator stick on the 13th of October (order 70966).

UPS failed to deliver the package (they made no attempt, someone was sat in the front room all day) and the tracking stopped on the morning of the 16th of October. I called UPS Support on the Friday who said that they did not know where the package was and it might have been lost and that I should contact the seller (VKB) to start an investigation.

VKB were initially very responsive and on Monday said they were opening an investigation (support ticket 19946). No UPS tracking updates since the morning of the 16th, I called UPS support as well who again reiterated that it was probably lost. The package has not been delivered.

On the 22nd of October UPS sent an email and changed the tracking to say that it was delivered on the 16th of October; magically going back in time with the parcel to deliver it? They have provided no evidence of delivery, and I still have no package.

Since the 23rd of October, despite 3 emails asking for an update I have had no response from VKB support. Can someone please find out if my emails are being recieved? And can I please have an update with an ETA for when my order will be delivered?

Unfortunately, in cases like this, we have to wait until the courier finishes the investigation and declares the parcel lost or finds it and attempts again delivery.
The local VKB rep should've explained this to you; I'll contact them right away.

Thanks for your response, I just recieved a responnse from VKB support 2 minutes ago; presumably UPS have finished their investigation as a new one is being sent out. VKB support have been great in fixing the problem for me!
