New owner, seeking help with centering force of stick

Postby soidcsboomer » Mon Dec 13, 2021 8:06

Just got the Gladiator NXT Cosmosima Premium. Was led to believe that you can adjust the re-centering force of the joystick to your liking.

Got the stick, which I LOVE so far, but I want to increase the stick's re-centering force, as it is quite limp, and with all that dampening, really throws off my feel during maneuvers.... It is killing me how big the difference is with a lack of resistance off center.

I am having trouble with knowing how to adjust these things, as the stick came with one paltry small paper card, with almost no writing, and in mostly foreign language, and nothing but a black square on it, and no mention of computer websites anywhere to go to for instructions, or help downloads.

VKB's Youtube place has a blizzard of videos covering nothing near to what I want to do, and only about another stick type which I don't have. All I have is a bag of small parts and no explanation of what to do with them to achieve my goal.

I want to make the stick re-center itself with more force than it came shipped with, and maybe reduce the soggy dampening it has, if that is possible too.

I have three little bags of springs, but ZERO instructions, in the box, or can find online, of what the difference in these springs are, and if they can be used to make the stick stiffer, and which ones make stiffer vs more limp if that is indeed what they do. There are no lables on anything except a simple number, and those numbers could mean anything.

I don't want to start operating on the stick in the blind and screw something up out of ignorance. Any help here please?
Thanks;

There should be 3 types of springs in those bags: #10 soft, #20 medium (default) and #30 strong. Have a bit of patience and you'll realize that 'limpness' makes more sense than pushing or pulling against a strong spring like on a T16K.

In this video you can see the springs that you need to change (if needed) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9-nfl5 ... WK&index=3.
There should be a tool in the bag, it is a metal ring with a black (very thin) wire attached to it. Use it to pull the spring and remove it from its position. You can see the technique in this other video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRVab9Hq40Y&t=280s
Not sure if that was what you were looking for :)
Hope it helps
