If I slowly and smoothly apply right roll input, it more often then not will go full input as seen in the picture.

And just as an FYI, I purchased the new black version of the black box last August to try and resolve this issue also. It just seems to be getting worse and worse.

Doesn't look like a software thing to me. The black box wouldn't cause this. It's a connection in the base. The roll input comes from the base, not the grip, so that helps narrow that down. The software can only work with what the sensors send it. That whole garbage in garbage out thing. Looks like you've got some garbage in your roll input!

Take off the grip and open up the base. Look carefully at the white wire connectors coming from the gimbal to the PCBs. That's likely where you're problem is. Carefully pull it loose and re-seat it. Make sure when you're pushing it in that none of the wires seem like they're pushing back out. If that's happening pull it back off and re-seat the wire that's come loose of the connector. Push the wire into the connector until you feel it click into place. It's super tiny so it won't sound like anything. Now put the connector back onto the PCB. This is likely your problem. A lot of us have run into this one causing input weirdness. If anything is loose it'll sorta kinda make a connection but not the good solid connection that should be there. The sensor sees that and gives what it sees.

Another odd thing that's happened but is rare is metal stick on the sensor on the PCB. or the gimbal. Anything that looks like it shouldn't be there. Little chips. Somebody found a washer stuck there recently. There are magnets in there that will attract anything metal. But the sensor is looking for something specific from those magnets. Anything that's not supposed to be there is literally throwing a monkey wrench into it!

Keep in mind the gimbal is moving around all the time. So those little wires and their connectors are moving all the time. As you see they're kinda fragile. They have to be little in order to be able to move around. It's not like you could put #12 wire in there. It'd be more robust, sure, but also just a little stiff! Until somebody comes up with a magical way to get the signal from one place to another the wires will have to do. Give these things a try and see if it helps.

Recalibrated and posting pictures as requested.
Also checked the wiring inside the base and it all looked as it should.

Ok so just to verify. When you're calibrating the stick are you defaulting it first? I haven't read where you said you had. Just asking as it's an important step after flashing. Not a bad idea to do if having problems like this. Also when you're checking is this before any profile is applied? Don't bother reflashing, that's not gonna be your problem. Default it, calibrate it, following all the steps for the grip and then test it. Still having the problem?

You said the connections looked good. You won't be able to just see the problem I described without pulling the connectors apart. Have you done that? Trying to rule out some other things. I'm still thinking it's a connection issue. I'm thinking of a couple of other things to check but would like the before mentioned ones ruled out before digging further.

Yep defaulting it.
I had flashed it last week and have latest firmware in it.
I default it, then follow the steps in the video to calibrate it.

I did disconnect the white wire and reconnected it. Now I am having the same issues with rolling to the left as I am to the right, so that just made things worse.

Is your base MKI or MKII? If you have a black Black Box have you flashed the MKII firmware or the unlabeled fimware?

MKII base and I updated to the black Black Box last August because of this exact thing, thinking it would solve the issue, but it hasnt.
I also made sure I flashed it with the MKII firmware!

Use this video as a guide to take the roll axis board out. Check on the magnet if there are any metal shards attached to it and also the wires going into and out of that board.

Still thinking some connectivity problem. He's only having issues with the axii coming directly from the gimbal. No brainer it's something there. I'd suggested checking for foreign metal objects on the sensor/magnet a few posts back. That the problem has spread to both axii after messing with the connector suggests an issue with a wire or solder joint in that vicinity. The software wouldn't cause that. The software can only show you what the sensor is sending it. If something is in the way of that... Like a bad connection... Well.

If it were me I'd take the bottom plate off the base, plug it in and watch the test screen while wiggling the wires and tapping on the connectors inside and see if the test screen shows anything. If it does try wiggling a single wire at a time. Just to narrow it down.

Just took it all apart.
All the wires under the cable protector were fine.
There was nothing on the magnet.
Going to put it back together and leave base plate off and jiggle the wires now.
