Gunfighter Mk.III, metal folding trigger usage

I don't understand why, in the Gunfighter Mk.III, the metal folding trigger can be assigned controls in the UP and Press positions. Shouldn't it have the two controls in the down and press positions, like the dual-stage trigger?
Usually it is usually in the Up position until you use it....any suggestions for its use?

You can set it up so the folding trigger functions as having three “buttons” (fold up, fold down, and trigger pull). I have mine set up this way.
