When I watch a Youtube video showing the calibration of a Gunfighter Pro X & Y axis, the Y axis was perfectly still while the X axis moved & vice versa. When I watch my calibration with the "Test" function while running VKBconfig.,I see lots of movement in the axis that I'm not trying to move, instead of only seeing one axis move. Why would this be & is there anything to do about it?
Maybe in that video the base had the hard centering cams and strong springs and you're on soft centering cams and soft springs? Doesn't matter how many axes are moving at the same time, you just to make sure you're moving each axis on its whole range back and forth, brake lever and second trigger included.
Thanks for the response! I'm just wondering though , if the movement in the axis I'm not trying to move(especially around the center) is having an impact on very delicate procedures like air to air refueling. I have combined springs to add up to a total strength of 80.
If you are concerned about axes bleeding into each other then adding springs is not the final solution; changing to hard centering cams (#30) helps more. If you want to stick with the soft centering cams (#10) then nothing else than training more with the device would help
Uh Oh!! I just switched cams so I have the #30 cams on now. I tried to be very careful doing this & I thought everything went well. I have a green light on the black box & the stick feels good, BUT the pitch & roll axes aren't recognized at all in game. The buttons are all recognized, but not the pitch & roll. I looked at the connectors & they look OK. Any idea what went wrong?
