Anyway to replace GF mk1 with mk2

Re: Anyway to replace GF mk1 with mk2
Same here, especially with the availability on regular stock items and Euro delays, it'd be much much easier being able to order none specialist items in future and just get the regular run item. Even without a ready made adapter I'd be willing to DIY the change myself just for the future proof and future sales ease as not sure I' be willing to wait with all the lack of comms and uncertainty for future grips if I need to order a specialist one but would have more confidence in regular item, plus could use global if Euro ever failed to stock grip upgrades and twist adapters in future.
Re: Anyway to replace GF mk1 with mk2
But i was wondering, is there really no way to simply switch the contacts using one from one of these warthog adapters ?

Any news on the status of either Rev A MCG (Pro) or standalone Rev B MCG (Pro) plus a connector conversion kit for the EU store?

Re: Anyway to replace GF mk1 with mk2
Guys, I would like to clarify VKB policy on rev.A connector.
The grips will be produced with rev.A connector including any upcoming new ones. Due to limited amount of customers with rev.A connectors, those grips will be sold on reservation/pre-order base. Some amount might be available for purchase from the stock but better to not count on that. Price and other conditions are exactly the same as for rev.B grips.
Converting the grip from rev.A to rev.B socket is not recommended. It requires not only good skills but also special tools and, from our opinion, it does not make sense to do it yourself unless you really like DYI type of activity. And, it is also important, it will void a warranty.

Eduard, this might not be recommended or make good sense, but what choice do we have? Wait another few months to get told again, wait another few months. This perpetual wait is really frustrating, and I really cannot see why we still have to wait to even pre order, especially if these models have been produced. I mean they must have been produced because they have sold revA grips on the aliexpress site. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/VKB-Sim-MCG-Pro-Rev-A-for-Gunfighter-MkI-Joystick-English-version/32847792580.html
Does VKB want to make money or are they doing this for love or something?
Why cannot VKB accept they have messed early adopters about, and sort us revA customers out?

Pre-order functionality is not yet introduced on the website. As soon as it is deployed, rev. A MCG will be the first thing to offer.Andy wrote:Eduard, this might not be recommended or make good sense, but what choice do we have? Indeed, it is also a possibility to buy it now from Aliexpress and get the item directly from China. Or, buy it from EU store in August/September.Andy wrote:I mean they must have been produced because they have sold revA grips on the aliexpress site. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/VKB-Sim-MCG-Pro-Rev-A-for-Gunfighter-MkI-Joystick-English-version/32847792580.html
In general, availability of new products in EU store is delaying for 1-2 month due to logistics. Aliexpress is a possibility to get them earlier.
I mentioned in the other posts already that we learned it now that the way we introduced MCG was too bumpy and brought quite some frustrations due to delays. VKB manufacturing was not on the full speed last few month as it moved to the new building. But still, even running on the full capacity it does not guarantee that initial demand will be fulfilled.Andy wrote:Does VKB want to make money or are they doing this for love or something?

The process will be definitely changed for new products. Also, VKB FSC Europe will organize pre-ordering better.

Hi redribbon, redribbon wrote:How about selling parts, to be more specific selling rev a/b conector for grip and the base so we can change it by ourself.
We do not plan to sell parts to convert rev.A into rev.B. It is not possible to modify a base and a grip at home without special tools and materials. The plans are to produced a rev.A variant of all new grips.
