MCG Compatibility - Special Grip, or Grip Adapter?

Moderator: AdminGroup

Dedicated MCG grip w/ 5-pin connector, or Adapter w/ 5-pin connector to convert the 3-pin MCG?

A dedicated MCG MG grip that has the 5-pin adapter built in

An Adapter for the 3-pin version of the MCG (which would add 20mm to the height of the Grip itself)

It looks like an upgrade to 3pin is possible, so send Rrohde an email at northamerica@vkb-sim.pro as per post further up :D

I use my stick on top of my desk, to the side of the keyboard. This setup already requires a good amount of arm extension, so I would prefer the 5-pin dedicated grip. Any additional height, even small, has a negative impact for my ergonomics. I'm sure other desktop setups would share this opinion.

Desk user as well. I have a Glad Pro MKI and Glad Pro MKII for dual stick Star Citizen. Adding any height to one of the sticks would be weird and uncomfortable.

My preferred choice would be to sell a Glad Pro MKI 3pin update kit, so it would essentially be a Glad Pro MKII at the end of the install. My second choice would be to have a dedicated 5 pin version of the MCG grip.

Hi guys,

so the latest news from VKB HQ about this is that there will be both options made available:

"There will be a 5-pin to 3-pin adapter *and* the MCG-MG grip with 5-pin connector built in." (via UIV)

So this covers both ends of the spectrum. :)

PS: No word on the 5-pin to 3-pin conversion kit at this time - so this might not come to pass.

Re: MCG Compatibility - With VPC base?

If the vkb mcg tm is directly compatible with warthog base without firmware updates, Will mcg tm also be compatible with vpc base as well?
