hello.
i've received a brand new cobra this wednesday.
i'm experiencing already weird behavior on the twist.
i let the configurator on my other screen to check how is the input. out of nowhere it can go back to 320, and set its new center there. it can also do a few flickering from 0 to 1023, before going back to 512, staying there a moment, and going back to 320 again.
X and Y are perfect (at least for now)
what do i do ? is there any solution to this ?
i'm no expert, but it would look like a faulty potentiometer to me ? how to fix this ?

Defender Cobra M5 is not a product of the VKB.
We have developed a model of the joystick, but already more than 3 years we do not have relation to his production.
For the maximum profit Defender uses low-quality components.
Your Cobra's twist used bad pot. You need to change the pot.

Re: vkb m5 cobra - twist axis gone mad
hi again.
so, i switched the twist pot with the throttle pot, and it works a lot better.
the shaft is not the exact same, but it fits anyway in the twist. the twist doesnt fit well in the throttle, so i had to butcher it a little bit. but it was useless anyway.
i have another question.
what if i change the twist pot with a hall effect ?
i dont know if the controler will understand the signal, as a pot send an analog value of voltage and the hall a numeric value.
can it deal with the hall signal ?
