Shipping Time
After some research, I am no longer sure how long the delivery will take. Will I receive an e-mail sooner or later confirming whether the sticks have been sent?

If you are unlucky as I am buying in the beginning of June you still waiting. 2 focking months. And obviously no vkb Eduardo communication whatsoever…

Hello DepressedWolfi,
If you are talking about product on "backorder" than shipping time could take about 2-3 weeks if you place it now. Delivery time might vary but within EU it takes about 2-3 days.
If you are considering to buy a product "in stock" we ship it within 1-3 days

Yes, I am afraid so. In July we received many orders due to VKB21 sale so realistically your order should be shipped around the 12th of August.

However, this backorder situation needs to stop, to be honest. You've been waiting over a month to receive your items. If they had simply stated the item was out of stock, I'd be okay with that. They could order, let's say, 20 units, stock them, sell them, and then mark them as out of stock again. They know VKBS produces quality joysticks at a reasonable price compared to some higher-end options on the market.
But at the same time, they're also getting a bad reputation, which is why they give out free sticks to YouTubers to generate as much PR as possible. When your favorite YouTuber says they love the product, it makes you want it more and increases your trust in making a purchase.
The reason for the backorder, and why it can take as long as they like, is that people really want the product.
By the way, you have consumer rights. This company is based in the Netherlands, which is in Europe, so they have to follow European regulations. However, a lot of companies seem to sidestep the laws regarding backorders. You can Google your rights to learn more.

Thanks for the tip. However, it is not a strategy for us. It is forced measure to help customers place "backorders" in convenient manner instead of rush to buy a product when it arrives before stock is run out. Indeed, we aim to get rid of backordering as soon as we have enough stock. Since the logistics is affected, HQ and us work closely to fix it. The new batches are all planned and arriving. The shipping period is getting smaller. I believe that all backorders will be gone in September.
