T-Rudder faulty

Postby stolzy » Sat Mar 30, 2024 16:01

I've been using my T-rudder happily for several months on X-Plane, but they've suddenly devloped a fault.

Several things don't work in X-Plane unless I disconnect the pedals. When I do everything works fine. This happened mid-session on X-Plane.

The log is full of 159 copies of:
0:00:02.946 D/HID: BUTTON Added Index: 159 (HID_Page_GenericDesktop/HID_Usage_GD_Reserved) for handle: 0x600005ed5680

and an equal number of

0:00:02.946 E/HID: Rejecting button for VKBsim T-Rudder - VID:8989PID:287 because we're out of slots for this device

Do I presume this is a hardware fault?

Does not sound like a hardware thing to me. Honestly sounds like a driver vomited up something. I would start by resetting the black box to default in vkbdevcfg (do not forget to configure/calibrate afterwards) and maybe trying the make reg file option and running that.

vkbdevcfg being a .exe file?

I'm on a Mac.

You have to plug them to a PC, so you could reset them to default and calibrate. The information is stored internally, so afterwards you can use them on the Mac.
