Broken VKB GF1 board.

Hi,

I have had many issues with my GunFighter Mk1 and have regularly had to break it down and service it, my experience of with this stick has been not so good. Most issues I have are to do with phantom inputs, sure people have helped but no permanent fix.

I have the issues again, and I took it apart to make sure everything was tight and this time it was too much for the board and the connector socket for connecting the board to the exterior output socket has fatigued away from the board. How can I order a replacement board? I have GF Mk1 with MCG and extension.

I also noticed the one of the pins has fatigued where the grip extension connects.

Is it possible to buy a new GF base?

I assume my MK1 extension and MK1 MCG will not be compatible i I get a mk3 base?

I would suggest to get in touch with the local rep and ask for new connectors, so you could upgrade all your existing grips and extensions to ReVB and to get an upgrade kit from GunFighter MKI to GunFighter MKIII (the whole kit comes with new boards, new springs, new cams, but you basically only need the electronics upgrade).

Hi I have made a request, but have had no response. Seems a few other have also tried to contact VKB Europe. Is everything ok? I bought this stick because it is supposed to last. Now I cannot even get replacement parts.

Going into week 3 of no response. Can i go through vkb usa? I have a business need for my stick. I have money for parts and shipping. I have a friend in usa who is happy to forward on shipping to me in uk. Will be faster than VKB europe i think.

It is possible that there is no upgrade to version III anymore, it is not produced at the factory. IV version may appear soon. I would try to restore the missing connectors at a phone, electronics repair service. This is not a specialized connector, the problem is only in the sealing of this little thing.

I took this to an electronics repair shop, and they can solder a new connector on, but need to know which way up, and what type the connector is.
I will still need to replace the part that holds the grip.
