Ticket #7204

Postby yacskn » Tue Mar 22, 2022 17:06

Hello there,

I've been trying to order the "Gladiator EVO 'Space Combat Edition' - SCG Premium Right" from your site, however I'm running into some issues.

See, I live in Turkey. I occasionally order products from international markets and rarely run into problems with payment. This time however, it looks like you guys only have PayPal facilitated payment options or direct transfer only. My preferred method was to pay via credit card. It's a lot more convenient and I can pay the balance to my bank in installments, which makes it a lot easier to buy EUR denominated products in Turkey since the Lira has lost most of its value in the last 3 years to worth barely anything.

Anyway, because it seems like credit card payments are processed through PayPal, I can't seem to complete the payment as it keeps giving me an error. Probably because PayPal pulled out of Turkey back in 2016. And while I tried using direct transfer, it looks like I can't send it as easily as I believe it to be within the EU. It looks like my only options are SWIFT and Western Union, but those options seem to be for persons, rather than companies, as they require me to enter a person's name and address.

To be frank, I'm not too torn up about the latter since they charge ridiculous fees and I'd much rather pay via CC anyway. As I mentioned, I can have my bank divide the balance to be paid in installments, rather than lump sum. (Seriously, I get paid significantly above what half the population of people in Turkey gets paid, and this joystick still costs me about half my monthly wages, so installments help.)

Is there any way I can complete this payment via credit card other than via PayPal?
I am even down with processing it through a POS machine or something.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

P.S.: I also opted for the consolidated delivery option to save on the cost, but I'm not sure how often you guys end up sending products to Turkey this way. I don't want to wait for months for this thing to arrive, if that's a possibility. Can you elaborate on that aspect as well?

Thanks.

Hello yacskn,

Unfortunately we currently only offer payments to be done via PayPal platform. It accepts also credit cards but I understand that it is not an option for you due to PayPal restriction.
The non-PayPal credit card processor is planned but not in near future. It will be a part of re-working of the website.
In the meanwhile I would recommend to use direct bank payment (to our NL bank account). I see that many customers from different countries use TransferWise
It is available in Turkey as well. The fee of €4.58 and it is fast.

With regards of "consolidated" shipping. This option is for customers who wants to add another item to the main order. For example, if the order is placed over weekend and you decide to add some grip extension, a cable, set of springs or even another joystick to pair you can use "consolidated" shipping and we will combine both orders together. It works only for the same address.
