After taking apart my old CH gear a bunch of times I used to just replace the rubber feet from a pack of stick on bumpers I picked up at a hardware store. You get a bunch of them for cheap. They'd usually work ok but eventually they'd either pop off or they'd just become less grippy even after cleaning them up. I'd just replace them with another from the pack. If I had to go in and mess with it again, another set of bumpers as the screws were all underneath them.
I found something way better than the rubber bumpers. I got a sticky rubber pad used for sticking a cellphone on the dash of a car. Found it on Amazon, there are several. It works tremendously well! The pad is a soft rubbery material that is just sticky as hell but doesn't use an adhesive. I don't know what it is that makes it stick but it's great stuff. Put it where you want, put the stick (or in my case throttle) on it and it's going nowhere until you pry it off. If the pad gets dirty, no problem! You can just wash it, dry it and reuse it. It's like new. Doesn't leave any sort of residue either. Pull it off and it's like it was never there. It's been a while since I bought these but this looks like what I got.
