Intermittent Connection

Recently purchased a new gunfighter 3. As the joystick is floor mounted I decided to use my existing 200mm extension which worked perfectly with my gunfighter 2.
However the extension is not working correctly with the gunfighter 3. I have tried flashing new firmware which has not helped.
The only way to get a solid green light on the black box is to hold the extension in a certain position but when securing the grip to the base connection is once again lost. If I place the MCG Pro directly onto the base I achieve a solid green light every time.
Would appreciate any help you can give.

Many thanks

Bryan Finegan.

Show pictures please with the ends of the extensions, with the 3 pins and 3 contact pads in good light and focus.

Pictures attached. As I said extension works absolutely fine with Gunfighter 2.
I can get a consistent green light on the Gunfighter 3 if I move the stick to the extremities and hold but when the stick returns to its neutral position red light returns.

I know the second pic is slightly blurry, if you need me to re-upload I can.

So both the extension and grip work with the MKII base? In this case open up the MKIII base, pull out all white connectors and plug them back firmly. Check for any loose wires.
It would also help to clean up the 3 contact pads on the MKIII base and extension with a bit of alcohol.

Ok, so I followed your advise in the post above and the problem seems to be solved :P
I did have one occasion when the problem happened again but re-tightening the extension on the base seems to have sorted it now.

I do have a question regarding the Gunfighter 2 but will start a new post.

Thank you for your prompt help.

Bryan.
