Been using my 200mm extension with the GF3 for a long time now, one constant issue I have run into is the curve on the extension isn't anywhere near deep enough for my needs. It will constantly bump up against seat padding on a variety of chairs I've tried.
While I have found some third party extensions with steep curves available for other manufacturers, I haven't found one for VKB. Is there any chance of a goose neck style extension turning up in the near future? I'd rather not sell the stick/base entirely just to achieve better ergonomics but at this point I am considering it.
The guy selling third party extensions in the style I want said he'd need VKB (or someone else) to loan him a unit for a few weeks / a month to get one manufactured, so that's a non starter atm.

Re: A 200mm extension with a steeper curve/neck
Unfortunately for you we have no plans at this moment to release a new extension. Btw, a deeper curve would pull too hard at the grip, so it won't stay centered anymore.
Re: A 200mm extension with a steeper curve/neck
That's unfortunate, thanks for the response.
I could deal with lack of centering to not have to deal with the back strain lol. I'll either have to consider the alternative or continue my months long quest for an appropriate chair.

Re: A 200mm extension with a steeper curve/neck
A chair with a cutout would definitely help, or even one with a narrow seat.
Re: A 200mm extension with a steeper curve/neck
Yeah I didn't want to resort to cutting this one, I might give it a shot at least. Narrow seat helps but have to find the right chair for it as it can get awkward.
Not a problem when not running a 200m extension centre mounted, but I've been using the centre mount too long to go back to non extension use.

You can replace the extension with your own, of any configuration, but to balance it you may need to tilt the base a little, something like this.
Re: A 200mm extension with a steeper curve/neck
Someone came up with an alternative solution that works as well. I would have no issue in buying a steep curve extension that required counterweights, if it works it works.
